Does anyone have any idea how the whole reputation system works? I already managed to get -1 and I have no idea how

I like the rep thing. As long as a person can only vote once per member it should work.

You need to go into your options and set it so all members can post messages in your profile. I think the default setting was "friends only"... and we're pending friends atm...

I was going to leave you a message, but couldn't.

Also, if you haven't figured it out yet (I just did) the rep works with the +/- thing on the right side of a person's post. Other members can either add a point or subtract one.

to the right of another members post is a + or - (sometimes there's a green bar, or nothing, idk) and you click one to add or subtract a point from that users rep total.

I think it depends what type of board you're using what features come pre-installed. This type of thing can be removed, if you have the skillz. I'm gonna go mess with my profile then

Haven't the foggiest without seeing the admin control panel the phpbb homepage looks incredibly complex as well...

OK, from what I can see, this is coded by phpbb but is a template from a free site called forumotion. So to remove the points system would involve editing the code of the board itself, which would require prior knowledge or a lot of studying :X

I've seen the points system on every other forum I peeked in. It kind of seems pointless with the post count.

And when do we get rankings?

The things I'd do for a "Captain of the Gotei 13" rank...

Rep is just for fun I think. I've never really seen it used for anything on any other forums I've been on. I actually think it's kinda pointless but other people like it. xD

I still dont get the rep thing...Ill be fine if mine stays at zero though.

Reputation lets other users see how well that user contributes to the site, if it's negative then the user is probably a (bad)spammer/troll/flame person/other not so good things...

While if it's high, that person will probably be able to help you or helps alot, ....

Other than that it's useless I think (or you could use it for fun). xD
