This series is a classic and Belldandy is legendary. Yes, there are other SoL anime that are better (Toradora!) but this series has plenty of merits on its own.
It was also the first SoL anime I watched.

I saw a Korean exhanche student reading the manga for this in Civics last year. It looked decent from what I saw on the cover. I think I might look into it. :]

You should. The manga is actually older than the anime btw...
